Using their ‘all under one roof’ philosophy Windrush managing director Rick Lockyer has launched a new 2012 Olympic bid. He has openly criticised the need for so many venues spread all over the country. ‘That’s why it’s costing so much’ he fumed, ‘We save our client’s money by offering all of our design, web design and print services all under one roof. ‘Crouchy’ in bizarre copycat injury scare
World’s tallest man, creative artworker and ace striker Andy ‘Crouchy’ Whiting suffered a horrific copycat injury whilst pretending he was ‘Becks’ in a Sunday League football game. Crouchy had only just settled the issue that he could be ‘Becks’ that day and that fellow striker Millsy would have to be ‘Gazza’, when the freak incident occurred. Winning formation
We caught up with Joe Graham, the reclusive winner of the coveted bronze medal in the 1979 Glasgow School of Art Table Football Competition. Joe, who retired from competitive table football in 1980 when the College wouldn’t let him take the table home with him after graduation, doesn’t like to talk about the old days too much.
He slumped wearily in his chair when asked how it felt back then. ‘Table football is in the past. I prefer to talk about my current career as Creative Director of an exciting design and print company’ he sighed. I tried to explain that this was a sports report and that I was only a sports reporter and, as such, knew nothing much about anything. Lucky shoes found!
The world of Ten-Pin Bowling was thrown into crisis recently by the mysterious dissappearence of a pair of lucky shoes owned by Star Bowler Sue ‘Masher’ Mills. Sue, whose day job keeps her busy in the design studio of Windrush in Witney, lost the shoe after a particularly heavy celebration of a recent win.
